When pronounced the consonant is mostly dubbled
e.g Ête is pronounced eʰttʰe , eʰtte or eʰtʰe

Llanito Sounds

Although Llanito might have a lot of Andalusian influences it also differs from Andalusian in many ways. All around Gibraltar and especially in the provinces of Cádiz and Málaga the 's' sound is pronounced like the English 'th' in 'think'. This sound is not present in Llanito where the 'th' sound is not present, this could have been a result of the Genoese language which does not have this sound. One other sound that is somewhat different is the sound of the 'll' and 'y' which is pronounced like the 's' in 'vision' in Gibraltar but in Andalucía it is pronounced like a hard 'j' sound.
