After aspirated vowels certain consonants become aspirated
â ê î ô û + c q
â ê î ô û + l
â ê î ô û + n
â ê î ô û + p
â ê î ô û + t
When pronounced the consonant is mostly dubbled
e.g Ête is pronounced eʰttʰe , eʰtte or eʰtʰe
In most words of English origin the c, p, q and t are mostly aspirated except in consonant clusters (e.g sc sp sq, st)
